Un asilo en EE. UU. es una forma de protección legal que permite a una persona permanecer en Estados Unidos en lugar de ser expulsada a su país de origen, donde teme sufrir persecución por motivos de raza, religión, nacionalidad, pertenencia a un grupo social particular u opinión política. Si ya te encuentras en Estados Unidos, debes solicitar el asilo de inmediato.  No hay tiempo para esperar!

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  • Understanding the Right to Asylum: Explain what asylum is as a human right for people who are persecuted or in danger.

  • ​​Identifying the Grounds for Asylum: Detail the specific reasons why a person may apply for asylum, such as persecution, violence, or serious threats to their life or freedom.

  • ​Learning the Application Process: Teach how to submit an asylum application, including the importance of the personal statement and the steps to follow in the host country.

  • ​Developing Communication Skills: Educate applicants on how to write an effective personal statement, organize it, and present facts clearly and thoroughly.

  • ​Preparing for the Asylum Interview: Provide practical advice on how to stay calm, listen to the officer, answer questions concisely, and avoid exaggeration.

  • ​Promoting Empowerment: Train asylum seekers to understand their situation and assert their rights within the asylum system.

  • Fostering Resilience: Support individuals in understanding the impact of education and participation in cohesive societies as tools for building a sustainable future.

  • Ensuring International Protection: Reinforce the importance of the rights and laws that safeguard refugees and asylum seekers.


CERTFICATE:

  • We inform you that, in accordance with common educational practices in higher education institutions within the European Union and in line with the criteria applied by accredited centers in Hungary, the following requirement is established:

  • To be eligible for a Certificate of Attendance, the student must have attended at least 80% of the scheduled classes.

  • This percentage is calculated based on the total number of instructional hours outlined in the corresponding curriculum.

  • Attendance will be verified through official attendance records, and it is the student’s responsibility to ensure compliance with this requirement.

  • The Certificate of Attendance is intended to certify the student’s regular participation in training activities, without necessarily implying the academic completion of the course. This criterion reflects principles of educational quality, learning traceability, and institutional commitment.
